“A proverb is not a proverb to you until life has illustrated it.” ~  John Keats, (1795-1821) British Poet

This quote sets the mood for my 118 page Pop Culture, Coffee Table book titled, “Barking Up The What?”

‘You’re barking up the Wrong Tree’ is just one of the 34 phrases and proverbs that are featured in my book.  It is also one of the many sayings that we use in our everyday conversations.  Many of us wonder from time to time what these phrases or proverbs truly mean, where they come from or why we say them.  This unique book provides examples and answers to the questions of the true meanings and some history of these sayings.  This book stands alone in how it portrays these vivid sayings using 34 photographs mixed with illustration to create imagery and wonderment we can all relate to.  How do the images compare to what you see?

The book is geared for the trendy-off-beat, eclectic folk crowd who are culturally intrigued.  The book is educational in many aspects, so the reader is not only drawn in by the captivating photography and artistry, but learns about history and the evolution of our everyday sayings and how they fit in our culture.  The ongoing goal is to create a series of these books that will continue to teach and enlighten our own culture but also many others.

This unique book illustrates the imaginary wonderment we all see through phrases and the enless entertainment that these sayings bring us.
